Pump Platform

On this property a brand new pump was installed but the support “platform” was not upgraded. Before this work the pump was just resting on some cinder blocks. This was very unsafe and risked damage to the pump and the entire system. My goal with this project was to create a sturdy platform so the pump would not be at risk of damage if a person or animal happened to bump into it.

The main pipe going into the well was actually slightly protruding from the frame of the structure so I sistered on two PT 2x4s.

I supported the pump by fixing it to the top of the structure to prevent any damage to the pipes or fittings while I worked below it. I installed two more PT 2x4s going across the two 4x4s. All cuts were treated to prevent rot and increase longevity of the structure. I then attached two pieces of PT 2x6 to create a platform. Now the well rests on a stable, level structure!
